Our motto for the fourth annual INTERNATIONAL REGINA DRUM FESTIVAL is simple, 4/4 rocks !
“4” the most inspiring music weekend of your lifetime, join us “4” the biggest drum event of 2014 .
The INTERNATIONAL REGINA DRUM FESTIVAL will take place on September 26, 27 AND 28, 2014 at The Exchange and The Club in Regina, Saskatchewan (located at 2431 8th Avenue).

Organizer and founder Jayson Brinkworth is very excited about year 4! “Along with expanding the event to three days, we have put together a line up of players this year that WILL make it the biggest drum event in all of North America for 2014”, Brinkworth states. “The weekend will be very musically diverse, with everything from Metal, Jazz, Fusion and Pop to Funk, R & B, Rock, Latin and World Music.”

The 2014 Regina Drum Festival line up reads as follows :

Friday, September 26 – Herman Matthews (Los Angeles – Tower Of Power, Tom Jones) will kick off the weekend with a clinic on being an “in demand” drummer as well as a performance with the Regina Drum Festivals incredible house band .

Saturday, September 27 will kick off with a clinic by Regina’s own Chris Dimas (You Tube) and a double drum performance with Chris and the incredible drumming talents of Ross Bart (Regina – Music In The House).
Next up will be YoungPete Alexander (Toronto – Jully Black) to keep your body moving.
Then we have the metal stylings of the one and only Matt Greiner (Philidelphia – August Burns Red).
If this isn’t enough, we take it over the top with the king of gospel chops Gerald Heyward (Philidelphia – Beyonce, Michael Jackson,Mary J Blige).

Sunday, September 28 you will wake up and wonder what hit you, when we knock your socks off with Daniel Glass (Los Angeles – Royal Crown Revue, Brian Setzer), Dafnis Prieto (Cuba/New York – Michel Camilo, Proverb Trio), Tom Brechtlein (Los Angeles – Chick Corea, Robben Ford) and possibly THE most legendary drummer ever, the larger than life Bernard Purdie (New Jersey – Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Most recorded drummer of all time) with the Regina Drum Festival house band . We will also have an expanded tradeshow, the Vintage Drum Expo, Stickman Drum Corner, Fastest Hands Competition and so much more.

Tickets for this amazing event are only $60 for a full weekend laminate or day passes will be $10 for Friday. $40 for Saturday and $45 for Sunday . Brinkworth adds, “With this diverse line up, tradeshow activity and so much more, the event is sure to sellout very fast”.
If you’re looking for accomodations , The Quality Hotel is once again on board as the “host” hotel for all artists and is offering a fantastic rate for out of town attendees.
