Sorry for the delay

Well, here it is October already, where has the time gone ?

Since my last posting, things have been busy as usual, but lots of fun as well. First off, the teaching year started back up in September at Music In The House. This year we have 2 new teachers and a bunch of new students. My schedule stays the same at 50 students per week (yikes !), but I love it !! Lots of fun stuff planned for this teaching year, which is our 8 th year in business.

Also I have just started up my program in the school board. It was formerly called Learning Through The Arts but the Regina board is now facilitating it's own program called CREATE. This term I am working with 8 classes in 6 schools. I love this program, and really enjoy the challenge of teaching stuff like the solar system and animal extinction through drumming.

I have also been busy with Aaron Pritchett gigs, we were in Vancouver for the CCMA awards, as well as some Ontario dates, one of which was with Toby Keith. We have shows coming up in Edmonton, Calgary for the Grey Cup and New Years eve in Langley BC. Aaron is getting material ready to start recording his next album which promises to be even better than the rest.

I have also been working with some up and coming artists in the studio : Steve Gibson, Jody Deidrich and Leah Durell. I love working in the studio, the process is such a rush for me.

I was also supposed to be hosting another drum clinic this month, but unfortunately we had to cancel. It was with Trey Gray who plays with Brooks and Dunn. Trey has also worked with Faith Hill, Jewel and many other huge artists. This clinic was for the drummers, but also to raise awareness of Huntingtons disease, which Trey has.

Feel free to visit http://www.myspace.com/treygrayhd to find out more about Trey and Huntingtons disease. We will try our best to do this at another time.

That is about it for know. Keep reading the Black Page Magazine for my monthly articles http://www.theblackpage.net/, and ALWAYS stay groovy.

Jayson
